I believe that people are only able to give their best if they don’t feel bored or jaded. This applies to children particularly! Curiosity should be the driving force behind their learning. Education should be a process of engagement between learners and their teacher. Children engage when they are talked to, not at.

I have taught at a government school, a private school and a remedial school. I have not yet seen children treated with the heartfelt love and respect that meets the Capella learners in their classrooms every day. It is an enormous privilege to teach in this warm and caring environment where there is never a raised voice, but rather, gentle notes of love and concern. Children are respected for being the miracles that they are; yet held accountable for their decisions. They are expected to grow into kind, considerate and caring individuals. And, not surprisingly, they do.
